We’re looking for a passionate social media marketer who will own our social media strategy and be accountable for generating results.
As a member of our marketing team, you’ll build engagement plans and community programs that disrupt and engage our market. You’re a strategic thinker and a leader by nature who’s ready to use your broad experience and passion for achieving results to make a mark. In this critical role, you’ll engage influencers, excite new fans, and mastermind strategies that help us drive new leads to our business.

Here’s what you’ll be doing
#1) Create and implement our social media strategy
You’ll start by assessing our current social media marketing processes and strategies and conduct a competitive analysis study, including digital footprint analysis. From there, you’ll design and activate Rise’s social media strategy and community presence, conveying the spirit of the brand in a way that creates an engaged digital community. As our brand ambassador, you’ll engage stakeholders with content on social networks and other channels that is compelling and on message that targets the right people at the right moment, using LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Slideshare.
You’ll establish community relationships and partnering opportunities with key influencers through digital strategies and personal networking. Your ability to proactively moderate and facilitate discussions on social networks and analyze metrics closely for trends will be a key component of your role. You’ll also find unconventional ways to network, engage, and influence the right people to ensure your success.
#2) Execute all social media activities
You’ll execute all social media activities, including tweeting, sharing, engaging, liking, increasing social reach, and doing all the heavy lifting to build a following and establish our community presence. Using Hootsuite, SEMrush, and other tools, you’ll manage your community programs efficiently, aligning closely with the marketing team to plan stories, content and brand positioning opportunities that will drive results. Your social media SEO tactics will play an important role in aligning our social programs with our company keyword and SEO strategy. You’ll also be our internal ambassador that motivates and inspires employees to engage and promote our content to extend our company reach.
#3) Drive new business
You’ll see opportunity in every positioning statement, content piece, and customer experience, and will devise creative ways to amplify our message across all channels to market. By combining your creative thinking and analytical insights with your outgoing personality and hunger for results, you’ll meet or exceed your quota for driving online business to our organization. You’ll communicate in a professional, but unique social media “voice” and create social media campaigns and calls-to-action that drive target buyers and generate leads.
Your typical day will involve spending hours on LinkedIn engaging with our target audiences by sharing content, finding ways to grow LinkedIn company followers, and improving overall engagement with our page. You’ll leverage LinkedIn Publishing Platform to understand influential content that is shared and the people who are sharing it. You’ll also be tweeting several times a day to engage influencers and increase the followers of both our company and our executive’s social media profiles, receiving multiple mentions and retweets in the process. You’ll post on Facebook each day and will find new ways to leverage Facebook for professional and business purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree with a focus on marketing or journalism
- 2+ Years of Social Media Marketing experience in a corporate marketing or agency marketing role
- 2+ Years of Social Media Marketing in a B2B capacity. In other words, the primary target audience you’ve been chatting up on social media over the past couple years are business people, professionals, decision makers, and industry thought leaders.
- 2+ Years of Social Media Marketing experience on all major social media platforms – LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and SlideShare
- Self motivated, hungry for a challenge, and looking to make an immediate impact
- Fully entrenched in social media culture and understand the fine line of managing a professional, but effective social media presence
- Verifiable examples of social media marketing successes and wins
- Strong marketing foundational knowledge and advanced understanding of web technology and how it supports marketing
- Impeccable attention to detail, exceptional business writing skills, and can visualize as well as convey a message into relevant and interesting content
- You are an extroverted, very social person. You love interacting with ALL kinds of people and getting to know new people
- You are smart, creative, accountable, willing to go the extra mile, and really “get it”
